HS2 BBV KINGSBURY COMPOUND

Project Description:

HS2 BBV Kingsbury Compound is a 55-acre (equivalent in size to 74 football pitches) outdoor facility and is one of the most important hubs in the construction of the HS2 line from London to Birmingham. Balfour Beatty Vinci, HS2's civils partner for a 90km stretch of track that runs from south Warwickshire to north Staffordshire via Birmingham, is responsible for the compound. The compound is being used to stockpile large volumes of materials and to produce concrete and concrete elements.

LCE was appointed by Roadbridge UK Ltd to undertake detailed earthworks volumetric analysis as part of a tender for an earthworks contract on the HS2 BBV Kingsbury compound.

Scope Description:

  • Development of existing and proposed earthworks 3D models

  • Volumetric analysis using AutoDesk Civil 3D
