FLOODING & HYDROLOGY
The introduction of the “Planning System and Flood Risk Management Guidelines” published in November 2009 by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government has necessitated the development of strategic and site-specific Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) for private and public developments with a potential risk of flooding. These FRAs are a key tool in the management of flood risk within the planning process, as well as in flood warning and emergency planning.
We provide Flood Risk Assessments for all types of flood sources, including pluvial (rainfall), fluvial (river), coastal and lake waterbodies; or a combination of all the above sources. We have completed successful FRAs on projects ranging from single one-off residential developments to large commercial scale building and civil developments. The projects have been in both rural and urban environments.
