CORRIB GAS TERMINAL UPGRADE
Project Description:
The Corrib gas field in the Slyne Basin is the biggest natural gas field in Ireland. The field is located approximately 83km off the northwest coast of Mayo. The gas is transported for processing at the Bellanaboy Terminal via an 83km subsea pipeline.
Vermilion has been a partner in the Corrib project since 2009, moving into operatorship of the asset in 2018. An upgrade to the plant refrigeration system was undertaken in 2022/2023. LCE formed part of a multidisciplinary design team for the design of refrigeration infrastructure. LCE were responsible for design of structures including 3D BIM modelling of structures, pipelines, foundations and connections.
